St Davids Station - SEPTA R5 Regional Rail Radnor Township PA

St David Station SEPTA R5 Radnor TownshipThe Main Line.  It still conjures up grand images of Philadelphia, Suburban Philadelphia, glamor, sophistication, and the glory days of rail travel.  Well - it's all still here.

Welcome to the St Davids SEPTA R5 Regional Rail Station located in Radnor Township Pennsylvania.  The R5 Regional Rail Line follows the Main Line as it travels from Center City Philadelphia out to the Thorndale/ Downingtown area.  This is one of four stops in Delaware County PA.  St Davids is in the center of it all with Wayne PA the next stop west and Radnor PA one stop east.

This is a smaller station as compared to its neighbors.  It has limited parking and is conveniently located in a largely residential neighborhood just one block north of Lancaster Avenue.  This places it in easy walking distance of many commuters and has plenty of space for the drop off and pick up of passengers.  If you are looking for a location along the Main Line within easy walking distance of many residential options, this would be a perfect stop to consider. The video will give you a better feel for the area:

Adjacent to the station, we have a nice variety of residential options.  To the north of the tracks, there is a wide variety of single family homes.  In 2008, there were 12 home sales in the immediate area with an average sales price of $907,000.  Currently, there are an additional 10 homes for sale with an average asking price of $1,472,000 and three under contract averaging $1,142,000.

To the south of the tracks, there is more of a mix of apartments, condominiums, and single family homes.  One of the closest is the St Davids Park condominiums.  Six sales occurred here in 2008 with an average price of $197,000.  In addition, there are apartments adjacent to the station, the first LEED certified condos within walking distance, and more single family homes to the east off Cambria Court and south of Lancaster Avenue.

This is a great choice for those looking for a residential spot within easy walking distance of the R5 Regional Rail Line and close to all the region has to offer.  Should you need any additional information, please feel free to contact me anytime.
